The new Asheville artificial green continues to attract bowlers to the area. Charlie Herbert from southern California and the reigning US national singles champion and international player for the US recently spent two weeks in Asheville. While visiting his parents, Charlie spent his free time on the green and provided coaching to local bowlers.
Burl and Barb Roller from Clearwater FL are renting a house in nearby Weaverville for the summer. They chose the Asheville area for the cooler climate and specifically because of their desire to bowl on our world-class green. Burl and Barb are both former Team USA members.
Word of the new green provided courtesy of the City of Asheville Parks and Recreation is a gem that is getting recognition far and wide. For local folks, come on down and give the game a try. Play your best on the best facility.
