The weather did not cooperate for a game of bowls, but in a recent visit to Asheville, Veronica Sum who is the newly elected Bowls USA president, made the effort to go to the green and meet with club president, Terry Reincke. A New Jersey native, the Bowls USA president was interested to learn from Terry about the history of the Asheville club and the new green. Veronica bowls on an artificial surface at her home club, but the surface is not in the same good condition as in Asheville.
